Veterinarian
Community Veterinary Medicine is seeking an Associate Doctor of Veterinary Medicine to join our new fully equipped hospital and growing team.
We are a clinician-founded and led general practice hospital located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan in New York City. We provide a broad range of services for cats, dogs, and other small animals.
We recently moved into a new, state-of-the-art facility built from the ground up to provide leading veterinary services and an optimal work environment for our employees. We provide a caring atmosphere with minimal turnover, consistent volumes, and a high level of medicine. Our facility, culture, technology, and infrastructure provide the ideal environment to practice leading veterinary medicine and best serve our clients and their pets.
Position:
Associate Veterinarian
Qualifications:
Must have DVM OR VMD from an AVMA accredited institution.
License to practice veterinary medicine in the state of clinic location.
Veterinary license must be in good standing.
Must have enthusiasm for continued learning and improvement, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach

Receptionist
Responsibilities & Duties:
Greet every client and their pet who walks through our doors and make them feel at home!
Check clients and their pets in for their appointment
Check clients and their pets out
Manage the clinic’s emails
Answer the phones
Communicate effectively with clients
Work with others as a part of a team for providing exceptional pet health
Take care of the reception area (putting out coffee and snacks, keeping the area clean, etc.)
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills:
Must have experience as a receptionist
Must have worked in a vet clinic before (not necessarily as a receptionist)
Upon acceptance of a job off for this role, you will also be required to complete a 30-day training program that will certify you as a Customer Service Representative, Level 1

Veterinary Technician
Responsibilities & Duties:
Run anesthesia for surgical and dental patients
Assist the Veterinarian with routine patient appointments, surgical procedures, and dental procedures
Perform routine procedures, i.e. anal gland expressions, blood draws, and nail trims
Collect and preserve laboratory samples that must be shipped offsite for more comprehensive testing
Perform routine and dental radiographs
Coordinate diagnostics and treatments for multiple outpatient doctors
Collaborate with Veterinarians to carry out treatment
Compliance plans for patients
Ensure all surgical equipment is properly sterilized and stored
Communicate to and educate clients in regards to our services/offerings, treatment plans, estimates, and invoices
Perform dental cleaning and charting
Qualifications & Skills:
Must possess a valid Veterinary Technician license in good standing with the State of New York
Minimum of 18 years old
Ability to lift and carry animals and equipment up to 50 lbs.; walk or stand for extended periods of time; frequently work in a bent position; come in contact with peanut butter
Recent graduates or experienced technicians are welcome to apply
